LEND A HAND AT SOCK HOP
It doesn't happen all that often, but we do get stumped sometimes with
elements of the show. It could be a song we don't have a full background on, a request
which we can't find any information on, etc. Maybe YOU'RE the expert we need. Check out
the questions below and if you know the answer, we will post it here along with your first
name, city and state (or country) along with a mention of our sincere appreciation.
PLEASE NOTE: Without trying to sound ungrateful, please do not
answer any questions below unless you KNOW the answer. We appreciate your effort, but we
can GUESS at the answer as well. Thank you for your understanding.
HOW TO ANSWER. At the bottom of the page is a form to fill out,
along with a drop-down menu to select which question you are answering. Fill in the info
and click SEND.
#1) EDDIE COCHRAN
EXPERT NEEDED: We have been getting a request for some time now from a fan
who wants to hear a song, "Hurry Up", that he insists Eddie Cochran released as
flip side to the single "Three Steps To Heaven". We can't find any information
on this track and all our records indicate that "Three Steps..." was originally
a Liberty single released with "Cut Across Shorty" on the flip. We didn't find
"Hurry Up" listed as a re-issue either. We DID find a website that listed
lyrics to the song, but that's all. Can you help us with any release info or if the record
doesn't exist?
#2) SCAT RECORD EXPERT NEEDED:
We are trying to identify both the artist and title of this song. We have zero info on it. The only clue we can offer is that
it was lifted from a video of Soupy Sales' 1965 TV show, so it can't be any newer than
that. Give a listen. |
