 Almost every Sock Hop program has been recorded and saved for posterity in
the Sock Hop vaults. And now Mark Edwards is making them available for you, just as they
were aired! Enjoy a copy of a show from a special day; maybe the day you made that
treasured request for your sweetheart; perhaps from a celebretory day in your life; or
maybe just because you love to collect great radio programs! And these aren't your typical "airchecks recorded on a
cassette" copies; these are full frequency, hi resolution first generation masters
taken right off the studio console!
Whatever the reason, these recordings are now being offered at an incredible price
in two different formats:
DATA CD: One entire show* in its original 8 segment format, in 8 MP3
files (192K bitrate) on a single CD-R that will play in your computer CD-ROM drive when a
media player is installed, and in auto and home CD-players that are MP3 compatible:

4 AUDIO CD's: One entire show* in its original 8 segment format on 4 CD's
(2 segments = 1 hour show time per disc) that will play in any CD player.....home, auto,

Over 98% of all the shows broadcast on WLNG
since March 2004 have been carefully archived. A fraction of them are missing or are
missing a segment. You can download the list of
available Sock Hop shows (in an RTF text document) to see the status of any WLNG era
show. The show number is also included with the date.
Once you have the show(s) you need, simply contact us (below) about getting a copy.
The normal turnaround time is 5 - 7 days.

*An entire show
consists of the Sock Hop Saturday Night radio program and excludes pre-recorded WLNG
commercials and news broadcasts. Early shows may contain microphone "reverb".
Later shows have no "reverb" since WLNG adds it in processing equipment which
happens after the outputs of the console. |
