Mark Edwards brought his creativity, charm and music collection to the airwaves of Southern Connecticut to bring listeners a trip back in time. So successful was the show that it achieved the highest ratings of any show on the station’s lineup during its last Arbitron entry. His unmistakable ability to give the audience what they wanted paved the way for success for over 13 years! This amazing story now continues into its second decade on its new home, WLNG in Sag Harbor, New York. This website tells that story. SOCK HOP SATURDAY NIGHT began broadcasting on April 2, 1994 and was an instant success, and the key to that success was, and still is, the diverse playlist.
